VACANCY: SA GROUP PAYROLL & BENEFITS MANAGER
REPORTS TO: SA HR EXECUTIVE
SITUATED AT: 31 GEORGIAN CRESCENT, BRYANSTON
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
OBJECTIVE
• Management, direction and control of the company’s SA, Africa & International payrolls.
• To provide a monthly payroll, correct, efficient and timeous.
• Monitoring the payroll interface for compensation and benefits
• Assist with administrating of monthly payrolls
• Month end consolidation and processing support as required.
• Payroll process improvements and standardization of payroll policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate 3rd party reconciliation
• Statutory compliance
• Manage the SA Group Benefits (Medical Aid, Gap Cover, Provident/Pension funds, ICAS & Risk Cover)
• Accountable for the AMS/UK Payroll
• Assist International companies with SAGE system queries/requests.
GOVERNANCE
• Ensure legislative compliance and internal reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain knowledge of BCEA & LRA requirements and enforced to ensure compliance.
• Bi-annual TAX reconciliations and IRP5 submissions to SARS.
• WCA compliance and submission to the Compensation House annually.
• EEA2/EEA4 data exported and provided to stakeholders for submission to the Labour Department.
• Monthly reconciliation and submission of the UIF Declarations to the Labour Department
TASK DESCRIPTION:
Benefits Management:
• 3rd Party scorecard management
• Monthly reconciliation and maintenance
• Section 14 transfers
Monthly Payroll:
• Review and approve month end reports
• Payroll consolidation
Reporting:
• Company reconciliations per payroll
• Duplication check
• Medical aid and provident fund withdrawals, new entrants and recons
• HR Monthly report
• EMP201 recon
• Leave provision
• Variance report
• Nett pay difference
Maintain SAGE People Payroll system:
• Ensure SAGE People is always updated to ensure data integrity
• Ensure all access is restricted and relevant to all users
• Ensure that SAGE People is updated in line with the latest SARS requirements.
• Ensure SAGE People methods and calculations comply with the legal and prescribed requirements.
• Hierarchy setup
• Divestment / Acquisition integration
Year End:
• Reconcile EMP501 to Emp201’s
• Submit IRP5 and EMP501 folder via easyfile
• Publish IRP5’s to all employees
Statutory:
• Reconcile and submit WCA’s
• Emp201 monthly reconciliation and submissions
• EMP501 Bi-Annual reconciliations and submissions
• Reconcile and submit UIF Declarations
• Prepare EEA2 & EEA4 information for submission
Bi-Annual Audit:
• Accountable for Audit co-ordination and compliance to all requests
• Ensure monthly support documentation is accurate and stored efficiently
Management:
• Update the annual Payroll Calendar
• Plan and effectively manage Payroll deadlines
• Management of the Payroll team
• Manage stakeholder relationships
Skills and knowledge:
• Successful administration of 2000 or more staff
• Knowledge of International and African payroll treatment beneficial
• SARS easyfile and e-filling
• Standard Bank, Nedbank and Absa
• 5-10 years in a Payroll experience in a Senior position
• Strong Leadership capability
Education:
• Grade 12
• Tertiary qualification would be preferred
• SAGE People
• SAGE People ESS
• SAGE People Super User
• SAGE tax yearend seminars (to date)
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office
