HEAD CHEF VACANCY

Pick Me Recruitment is looking for an Talented Head Chef to take charge of the overall kitchen operations of a Sophisticated Top-end restaurant in the Cape Town.

The perfect candidate is someone with a strong background relating to Classical Fine Dine Cuisine and exceptional culinary skills, with a love for food, experience in running and managing local or international top-end restaurants, quality driven, a leader, stable and able to perform under pressure.

Minimum Requirements & Key Responsibilities:

• A formal Culinary Education
• Minimum of 3 years‘ experience as a Head Chef with strong Sophisticated culinary background
• Responsible for menu planning and costing recipes, food consumption, strict stock controls, stock management, stock movement, rotation and ordering and supplier liaison
• Excellent control of food cost, wastage and kitchen preparation
• Ongoing staff training and development
• Ensuring the team has high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Matric

Remuneration
R35 000 – R40 000 Gross • Relating to experience
