Integrate financial, business and actuarial perspectives in order to provide timeous financial analysis and insights into order to support strategic business decision making.

• Manage the delivery of financial analysis to support strategic business decision making
• Partner with business leaders to assess the financial implications of new business initiatives and provide input to the financial feasibility of business case
• Oversee the analysis of financial information and provide financial analysis and data that supports the decision making for long range planning to support the realisation of the business strategy.
• Identity and measure key financial metrics that support financial and strategic objectives
• Collaborate with Financial and Actuarial Business Partners to determine business challenges and requirements.
• Drive the delivery of timeous, accurate and value-adding analysis and insight.
• Manage the collection and analysis of financial data in order to assess probabilities and complete financial forecasts.
• Build and analyse proxy model calculates and advise stakeholders on the implications of results and trends.
• Complete complex what-if scenarios to determine potential financial consequences of business decisions.
• Make recommendations that highlight the risks, confidence rating and the impact of variables on business results and advise business.
• Design and develop financial models in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Assess the robustness of financial models and determine the financial and business impact of financial models.
• Evaluate and calculate the financial feasibility and robustness of business cases to support business decision making.
• Consolidate financial analysis in order to obtain a holistic segment view which supports strategic planning and decision making.
• Enable client centricity within area of responsibility
• Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability and contribute to the development of policy.
• Plan and implement a cycle of medium term improvements to drive pricing of services and products.
• Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems and use to monitor and report on financial activities.
• Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
• Investigate reported wilful acts of non-compliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings

• Degree in Actuarial Science or Post graduate degree in BCom Accounting, Financial Management or Management Accounting
• Fellow Actuary (preferred) or Registered Chartered Accountant with South African Institute
• 5-7 years' in product development or financial business management experience within a life insurance environment
• 2 years' experience in a managerial role 26.7mm
