Head of Consulting (Insurance) (Sub-Saharan Africa)
Rosebank, Johannesburg

• Collaborate closely with clients, underwriters, client managers, IT and with relevant AI and Analytics teams across the globe in Singapore, Beijing, Sydney, and Princeton.
• Identify client needs and design tailored solutions
• Consult our primary insurance clients on product concepts, business development and expansion, rating, monitoring, distribution, sales, marketing and process optimization
• Continuously develop and anticipate attractive consulting and service offerings for various client and market demands
• Lead advanced and complex cross-line consulting projects, including but not limited to, pricing support, demand modelling, new mobility and telematics
• Take over accountability for execution of existing projects and delivering a superior client experience
• Present proposition to key management at client sites and support the respective Client Management teams with the negotiation process
• Actively contribute to marketing activities (e. g. preparation of technical publications, social media), lectures and presentations at internal and external events
Contribute to a positive team culture, local and international

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• University degree in mathematics, economics or similar field, with focus on quantitative analysis
• Deep knowledge of primary insurance markets, especially the South African and other emerging markets in respect of strategy, processes and products
• Additional knowledge in relevant topics like computer sciences, geo informatics and data analytics
• Proven track record in management, consulting, innovation, business development, lead generation to deal conclusion, negotiating and entrepreneurship (corporate and/or independent)
• Ownership and good balance between hunger for business and risk awareness
• High degree of service orientation and customer centricity
