Head of Faculty – Applied Psychology

About the Role:
Opportunity available for a Head of the Applied Psychology Faculty for our Academic Department who will be responsible for carrying the overall responsibility for the growth of the Applied Psychology Faculty, as well as the quality of all programmes that fall within the Faculty.

Requirements:
A PhD in Psychology, preferably with a Master’s in Counselling, Educational or Clinical Psychology
Experience in Academic Leadership in Higher Education
Experience in Curriculum Design and Quality Assurance
Expert content knowledge
Strategic & growth orientated
Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
Ability to lead, direct, manage & motivate
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong administrative & organizational skills.

Duties:
Faculty Strategy & Leadership
Programme Development & Oversight
Working with the relevant Regulatory Bodies
Quality Assurance
Teaching, Scholarship & Research
Oversees all curriculum development and amendments for programmes within their faculty.
Work closely with the Deputy Dean to ensure accountability for all regulatory requirements of the CHE, SAQA, the DHET and all professional bodies relevant to the Faculty
Working alongside the campus Academic team members in order to ensure the quality of programme delivery on each campus.
Network extensively within the Public and Private Higher Education sector nationally and internationally in order to expand the academic reputation.
