Our client currently has an opportunity for a, HR Executive reporting to the Managing Director. His/her duties shall include all of those duties ordinarily associated with the position of the Human Resources Executive or Director of a global company of a similar nature and complexity, which includes but is not limited to:
Directs the development, implementation and co-ordination of policies and programmes covering employment, placement, orientation and training, labour/employee relations, remuneration, organisational development, safety and health, benefits and employee services. Directs the development and consistent implementation of human resources policies and practices throughout the organisation to support and achieve corporate business objectives.

Position details:

Key Performance Areas
The determination, with the MD and Board, and delivery of the HR objectives of the Group. Each facility has HR operational capability, but the key HR thrusts such as transformation, over-arching executive talent management, reviewing of HR competencies across the Group, Group policy determination, Group project determination, reward and remuneration monitoring and design, benefit design (and management of the Group’s medical scheme) and CSI management, reside in the centre. Much time will be spent with the local Managing Director and HR Director.
Organisation design & development.
Advising and assisting to resolve the more material IR matters across the Group - strike action, material disputes (including wage negotiations) and/or disciplinary matters. As a general adviser the candidate will be required to engage with the Managing Director and HR Director of EMEA.
The design and delivery of the HR Shared Service function that includes HR administration, payroll administration, remuneration services, recruitment services, information management, learning and development and management of staff schemes.
Representing the company at collectivized negotiations (i.e. Mibco), on retirement funds (where applicable), on the inhouse medical scheme, on the remuneration committee, on the social and ethics committee, etc.
Reporting to the Board also forms part of this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, implement and monitor all HR related programs, policy and process improvements.
Particular focus on performance management, training and development, as well as legislative compliance.
Ensure that business strategy, organisational design and HR strategy are aligned.
Provide strategic direction in terms of management of key talent.
Provide strategic direction in terms of the BBBEE scorecard.
Ensure structure allows growth, both at organisational and individual level.
Providing strategic direction and specialist advice to the management team.
Running the day-to-day operations of the HR department (full generalist function).
Overseeing and improving all processes to assist with the business needs.
Overseeing and managing all policies and procedures in the company from a Head Office perspective.
Coach and mentor management.
Develop appropriate reward, incentive and recognition strategies in conjunction with the Board.
Develop training strategy based on company goals.
Managing all trade union relationships.
To complete Peromnes job grading for salaried positions and arrange job grading through the Bargaining Council or appropriate specialists/consultants.
To ensure that all company and customer requirements are met through means of effective HR and IR practice.
Assist with any negotiation/discussions/disputes between the company and the respective trade unions on any matter at company level at the Bargaining Council or at the CCMA.
Represent the company on key issues relating to Bargaining Council, CCMA and Labour.
Court on any labour matter (conciliation, mediation, arbitration).
Obtain legal advice on any labour matter and to ensure that the company is informed of the best possible advice, course of action, outcome, etc.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications and experience:-
A relevant tertiary qualification (preferable a post graduate degree).
Minimum ten years’ HR management experience from the manufacturing industry and three years HR Executive experience.
A candidate that has held a broad range of functional leadership positions will be preferred, as will a candidate with specific HR Directorship experience.
Sound knowledge of employment law.
