Your key job responsibilities as the HR Generalist in Cape Town will include:

- Provide expert advice and guidance to Managers and Team Leaders on people management, organisational development, employment and industrial relations matters
- Proactively review and improve human resource policies, procedures, record management and reporting
- Assist in the development of human resource policies, procedures, record management and reporting
- Attend and participate in all disciplinary & dispute hearings internally
- Represent company at all external dispute resolution hearings (CCMA)
- Ensure compliance with all employment and labour law requirements including but not limited to employment contracts, employment equity, workplace health and safety, workers’ compensation, industrial relations; in respect of terms of registration, documentation, reporting, systems and procedures
- Train and coach line managers in respect of IR practices
- Manage all matters relating to dealings workplace forums/ employee committees
- Conduct face-to-face exit interviews, investigate and highlight areas for improvement within the business
- Identify resource discrepancies and investigate appropriate resolution together with line management and operations
- Compile job descriptions
- Approve all assessments & competency based interview questionnaires
- Manage and coordinate the performance management processes
- Consult, train and coach Line Managers in respect of Performance Management practices

Requirements for this HR Generalist job in Cape Town:

- Relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a generalist human resource role at senior level
- Sound knowledge of and experience with human resources practices and employment/labour legislation
- Highly skilled in facilitating disciplinary procedures and performance management processes
- High-level skills in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High energy levels with a hands-on approach
- Possess confidence, authority and cultural sensitivity appropriate to a global multilingual workplace
