Our client has a mining house and manudfacturing company and they looking for Operational HR Manager to report into the Group HR Manager

To provideoperational/high level HR support to Mining,l Sites and Head Office (including but not limited to this specific only) and provide support to the Group HR Manager. The HR Manager will have the responsibility for executing, maintaining, monitoring the company’s human resources strategies consistent within the specific businesses that best support the business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Services

Drive HR strategies and policies to the business areas
Works alongside business leaders (Directors, Managers) to and run effective HR initiatives,
Acts as the expert and point of reference on any complex HR issues, within the specific businesses.
Ensure appropriate implementation of HR policies and processes, detecting needs of internal clients and providing solutions.
Manage and monitoring the quality-of-service delivery against agreed standards.
Accountable for ensuring HR practices are driven to sites and implemented.
Site visits to understand needs of the business.
Accountable to ensure that HR operation processed are adhered too
Headcount management on sites
Accountable for full management of an employee life cycle

Labour Relations

Provide ongoing Labour Relations training to area of responsibility on key labor relations for sites
Identify and interpret any emerging legislation and advise business on matters.
Responsible for interpreting the impact of case law as well as current and proposed legislation for the business, ensuring customer focused solutions are devised and implemented.
Providing guidance and support to senior leaders/managers on employee relation matters.
Drive and manage performance improvement and performance management initiatives within the Companies.
Manage IR and disciplinary matters across Companies.
Track labour relations trends and provide initiatives to address the problem.
Ensure management and maintenance of sound employee relations within the company.
Recruitment

Drive recruitment process to sites and address recruitment needs
Ensure that job descriptions are done prior recruitments.
Work with Group HR Manager to Introduce and constantly improve upon internal assessments to ensure a culture fit and the retention of talent.
Monitor the turnaround time of recruitment and on-boarding.
Introduce and constantly improve upon the on-boarding process.
Track termination reasons and identify patterns that can be monitored and/or addressed.
Operational Human Resources Support

Driving the business needs and ensure that the HR Strategy is in line with the Business strategy.
Ensure that the HR strategy has easily implemented plans, which support the delivery of the business goals and needs.
Work closely with Group HR Manager to Monitor the HR strategy and communicate to the relevant stakeholders the progress against objectives set.
Accountable for execution and success of strategies. On an operational level
Monitoring organizational climate, staff attitudes and morale and informing and advising line management in this regard, with particular focus being on the annual Engagement survey.
Develop and maintain appropriate employee communication, employee engagement.
Accountable for the management of effective HR Operational Admin function
Interpret high level information to execution.

Staff Management

Manage and develop direct report to support the needs of the Business.
People management and motivation of direct report to ensure the achievement of the human resources objectives.
Drives operational excellence through own area of supervision.
Ensure general HR administration standards are upheld.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications and experience:

Requirements

5- 8 years in a similar role
Bachelor’s degreein HR
Must be able to travel to sites monthly
