RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE CONSULTANT for a well-established national concern – position based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
In-depth knowledge on the OHS Act and regulations.
BTech or Safety Diploma will be an added advantage.
ISO Certificates (ISO 14001:2015; ISO 45001) and added advantage.
The candidate will be tasked with general HSE consulting operations, which include Accredited Training.
Meet with prospective clients and grow the company’s client base as and when required.
Consulting: (ISO consulting ((18001/45001, 14001) implementation; maintenance, training); General OHS consulting in terms of the OHS Act and regulations, HSE Auditing.
Training: OHS Act/legal liability, Safety Rep, HIRA, Incident Investigation, permit to work.
Report Writing: ability to write comprehensive reports on HSE legal requirements and or ISO requirements based on Audits or Consult visits.
Ability to work well with all types of people at various levels.
Good managerial and business skills for current and future endeavours.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Must be confident enough to consult to large corporate companies.
Person must be willing to travel extensively on a national basis.
