HV/MV Field Testing Technician
Roles and Responsibilities

Job description
Field Service Technician familiar with Medium voltage electrical equipment to:
• Perform services
• Do preventative maintenance
• Make onsite modifications
• Do new equipment installations
• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

Requirements
Qualifications
• Between 3-5 years’ of hands on experience High and Medium voltage testing of electrical power equipment.
• Basic understanding of Low Voltage / MCC systems
• National Diploma Electrical N6 or BTech essential
• Highly motivated self-starter with desire to learn
• Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment
• Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting
• Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including a positive attitude
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Basic knowledge on Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Protection Panels & Relays, Power Transformers and Power cables

Benefits
• Salary R15k-20k pm depending on experience

Skill Set
• National Diploma Electrical N6 or BTech essential
