An exciting vacancy exists for an ICT Infrastructure Specialist, based in Centurion on a contract Basis.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Assist ICT Manager responsible to exercise leadership and use well-developed technological skills to facilitate planning, procurement, configuration, operations, maintenance, data integrity and security and end-user support for information technology resources and systems within the on premise and on cloud infrastructure in order to avail ICT Systems to all internal and external stakeholders at all times.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Development of infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth.
• install new servers and maintain the infrastructure.
• assist with the release of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware
• maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure
• manage infrastructure performance and the availability of critical components initiating corrective action where required
• Setup user access privileges on the server
• Configure access to the server (on premise and on cloud)
• Configure firewall to control access to systems
• Recommend licensing solution for ICT infrastructure
• Ensure quality of services across the network
• Ensure uptime of system is at predefined maximum
• Consider both back-end data
• Update system patches as and when required prioritize, plan and schedule upgrades and maintenance

? Configure webs services
? Install and setup SSL certificates.

• Maintain data standards by adhering to data protection legislation requirements (POPIA)
• Compile and submit technical report to support IT framework and governance.
• Ensure audit compliance
• Report on datacenter activities
? Configure User access and security
? Control access permission and privileges
? Follow up on implementation plans for any audit logs raised.
? Perform user awareness and training
? Coach and mentor and share experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric
- Diploma / Degree in IT/ NQF Level 5 or any relevant qualification
- Microsoft Certified Solution Experts (MCSE) – Windows Server, Azure
- 3 years’ experience in IT
- Server Configurations
- Certification in Microsoft Cloud Services
