VACANCY: ICT Systems Architect (CAPE TOWN)

About the position:
The ICT Systems Architect is responsible for devising, configuring, operating, and maintaining both computer and networking systems. The candidate will objectively analyse desired processes and outcomes and advise on the right combination of IT systems and components to achieve specific business, department, team, or functional goals. The candidate must ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets, develop, and establish IT infrastructure standards and procedures and assist in the compilation of the organizations IT budget in line with strategy and business plans.
The position reports to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer.
The candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
1. An IT degree or equivalent certification
2. Experience in the educational environment would be advantageous
3. Experience in Systems Engineering/Systems Architecture
4. Project management experience and/or training
5. At least 5 years in a similar position
6. Solid understanding of network and system development and deployment
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9. Experience with information processing fundamentals and best practices
10. Ability to prioritize tasks, especially when under pressure
11. Above-average leadership and collaboration abilities.
