Our client in Port Elizabeth is URGENTLY seeking ICU EXPERIENCED OR TRAINED RN's that are VENTILATOR competent to join their prestigious team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
- Contribute to the holistic care of patients
- Attend handover of report at shift commencement
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
- Promote patient of health and wellbeing
- Practice the principles of infection prevention and all Standard precautions
- Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors
- Execute all procedures according to hospital standards
- Refer all complaints from patients and doctors to sister-in-charge of the unit
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act
- Report and act upon potential/actual risks identified
- Responsible for ensuring correct use, cleaning and storage of equipment

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Registered Nurse qualification and registered with the South African Nursing Council
- Relevant qualification within a specialist area
- Diploma in Critical Care/ICU Nursing advantageous
- 4+ years Experience in the relevant ICU department is essential
- Ventilator Competent essential
