This position will require strong commercial expertise and operational knowledge of the complete Import Freight Forwarding function and will be based on-site at a Key Account Client’s premises.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric/Senior Secondary Qualification (NQF4)
• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience within a Forwarding/Imports Controller position
• Minimum of 3+ Years’ experience in a direct Freight Forwarding Operational Environment (Air & Ocean Freight) end to end process
• Must have strong knowledge of all commercial and operational processes
• Previous Inhouse experience onsite at client premises with strong track record in building high level client relations and managing of
complete client Import processes will be advantageous
• Sound and current knowledge of INCOTERMS
• Fully computer literate in all MS Office Suite Applications
• Must have at least 3+ years working experience on Cargo Wise (pre-requisite)
• Must have a valid, unendorsed drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle

Key Performance Areas will entail but not be limited to:

• Implement and drive strong communication channels and relations between Freight Forwarding Company and Key Account Client
• Controlling complete A-Z Lifecycle of Import portfolio (Air & Ocean Freight Shipments)
• Attend meetings with Key Account Client on regular intervals to ensure updates and feedback
• Ensure all changes pertaining shipment status is communicated to client and is in line with clients standard operating procedures
• Prepare invoices and manage on time billings to Key Account Client
• Query Resolution Management
• Ensure consistent communication with any 3rd party service providers, shipping lines, port authorities, transporters, container depots relating
to each unique shipment
