The Industrial Planner is responsible for monitoring and preparing planning schedules of all the stages from the initial proposal to engineering, procurement, sales, delivery, installation and commissioning. The Planner will be involved in the measurement of activity progress and be responsible for the development and amalgamation of methodologies, tools, expertise and leading practices related to resource planning and risk management.

Job Description

Examination and workload planning of all company schedules
Recognition of completion of different stages of work and validation of key deliverables
Must create a detailed list of critical activities, work sequences and durations as well as deliverables
Responsible for reporting and measuring the progress of all activities and deliverables on a weekly basis
Monitoring and reporting each activity and deliverable with regards to cost earned vs. cost spent
Preparing and negotiating contractual schedules with manufacturing and engineering subcontractors and suppliers
Progress monitoring of activities of major equipment suppliers, subcontractors and regular site activities
Preparing information of weekly and monthly progress and creating reports for internal and external clients, including conducting gap analysis exercises and panning revisions.
Collaborate with internal sites and departments to implement consistency between many schedules of different activities and projects.
Foresee and resolve potential or observed delays
Develop new methods and planning tools to measure project progress
Report on and administer project risk and opportunity reports
It is imperative to have understanding and continuous improvement in all areas.
Continuously maintaining relationships in all departments

Minimum Requirements

Project Management qualifications will be an advantage
Skills in MS Project and Primavera
Must be previously experienced as a planner within the Manufacturing Industry
An understanding of repair work and manufacturing
Understanding of Six sigma
Must have a valid driver’s license
