Industrial Refrigeration Technician

Our client, seeks to appoint a qualified Refrigeration Technician with experience working on Ammonia Refrigeration equipment.

Requirements:
• N6 level qualification (Millwright) or alternatively N6 Electrical or N6 Fitter and Turner.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a NH3 (ammonia) cold storage facility environment.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of temperature control systems.
• Qualifications and registration as per OSH Act to work on Ammonia Refrigeration Equipment (Cat B; A Perks E&ATS).
• Wireman’s license would be beneficial.
• Sound working knowledge of the OHS Act, regulations, and relevant codes.
• Strong computer skills (MS office).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid drivers’ license.
• Standby/weekend duties and on-call

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and repairing refrigeration plant and equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Conducting routine inspections and servicing of maintenance and safety systems.
• Implementing and managing the preventative maintenance plan.
• Maintaining and conducting general maintenance.
• Housekeeping and managing of safety standards within department according to the OHS Act, relevant legislation, and codes.
