ROLE SUMMARY:

The Instrumentation Development Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the design, development, and production of test equipment within the Technical Department. Reporting to the Instrumentation Manager, this individual plays a crucial role in driving innovation, ensuring the efficiency of production processes, and fostering a performance-driven culture within the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the team in the research, design, development, integration, test, and qualification of Windows-based test equipment
Drive innovation and improvement of measurement systems
Manage obsolescence of equipment
Collaborate closely with Design Engineers in R&D, QA, and Production to ensure efficient production testing of designs
Ensure delivery of measurement systems meeting performance and timescales as per project requirements
Develop a performance-driven culture within the team (on spec, on budget, on time)

REQUIREMENTS:

Eng. (Electronics), B. Tech (Electronics) or Equivalent
10 years experience in the design, development, and production of test equipment.
Strong management skills
Design and testing of electronic circuits (analogue, digital, and RF)
Experience in measurement principles and systems
Programming skills in assembler, C, C++, Visual Basic, and Delphi
Visual Studio & LabVIEW
Database development skills & SQL
