Short Term Insurance Sales Team Leader, with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry and minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a sales team in this industry and with 5 years’ short term insurance sales experience, required to lead a team of Business Development Consultants.
Minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 essential
• NQF5 or equivalent qualification preferred
• Industry qualification as per the FSCA requirements, essential
• RE5 and RE1 essential
• 5 years’ sales experience in the short term insurance industry required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managing sales staff in the short term insurance industry essential

Responsibilities:
• Lead and direct Insurance Business Development Consultants channel
• Drive profitable sales volume of all insurance products
• Implement sales plans, budgets and accelerated growth strategies and execute the company’s insurance sales strategy
• Address sales to the external market, South African and public sector market and maximise channel effectiveness
• Establish greater market penetration opportunities
• Establish lead management process
• Resource development, performance management and retention plans
• Retail sales meetings
• Collate provincial specific retail tied sales information and compile reports
• Risk management and governance
• Manage oversight of sales activities – performance of compliance function
