INTERN – ENTERPRISE COMPETITIVENESS DEVELOPMENT

Main Purpose of job:
• Assisting with competitiveness improvement projects within the Enterprise Competitiveness Development Programme of the National Technologies Implementation Platform

Responsibilities:
Assist in the project implementation by:
• Assist with benchmarking, turnaround intervention projects and localisation projects together with project team
• Research and profiling assistance on manufacturing companies
• Applying industrial engineering techniques and onsite analysis tools at companies e.g. process mapping, resource/machine utilisation studies
• Assisting with solution derivation during intervention projects and benchmarking projects
• Assisting with post-project implementation with project companies
• Assisting in industry profiling, trend identification and engagement in related topics

Key Competencies:
• Industrial Engineering Diploma or Degree
• Driver’s Licence would be advantageous
• Own transport would be advantageous
• Willingness to travel nationwide on projects
• Self-driven person
• Willing to improve qualifications/skills/experience
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office, Power Point, Excel, Projects)
• Fluent in English communication (Verbal and literate)
• Good presentation skills
• Good interactive and teamwork skills
• SA citizen
One year internship (after which candidate will be considered for permanent employment based on performance)
