Internal Audit Manager (Contract) – Public Sector experience

We are seeking a qualified CIA / CA(SA) to take on a role as a lead internal auditor. You will be tasked with independently examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls, thereby assisting management in the discharge of their responsibilities and to provide advice and recommendations for improvements wherever they are identified. Additionally, your responsibilities include managing people and directing financial, operational, system and process audits.

You will need to meet the following requirements:
• Honours degree in Accounting / Audit (non negotiable)
• CIA / CA(SA) qualified
• At least 7 - 9 years internal auditing experience of which at least 4 years must be in a Managerial position
• Solid Public Sector experience is necessary (non negotiable)
• Thorough understanding of corporate governance, business and operational risk and financial management principles
