DUROplastic, a market leader and the longest established composite material supplier, has a position for a suitably skilled and knowledgeable INTERNAL COUNTER SALESPERSON at our Johannesburg, Kelvin branch. The successful individual should ideally come from a sales background him/herself.

It has, since its humble beginnings, become a major supplier of a wide range of materials and products in the DIY and construction industries. We are looking for someone who is a good team player and hardworking. Ideally you should come from the building industry, have a sales background, and possess the following skills and requirements:
?Good people skills (clients and staff)
?Build and maintain good Customer relationships
?Knowledge of company ERP systems
?Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
?Knowledge of stock keeping
?Good all round product knowledge of plastic composites, awnings, roof sheets, resins, etc
?Good knowledge of measurements, meters, sqm, linear meters, etc
?Punctual and Motivated
?Always willing to learn
?10+ years sales experience
?Perform Sales, Admin, Operations, and Customer Service functions, plus handle cash from cash customers
?Perform internal sales telephonically and with walk in clients
?Ensure all orders placed telephonically and via email are captured and processed for payment
?Ensure client is satisfied with purchases and have an all round good experience when visiting
?Answer incoming calls, screening for possible future business.
?Generate quotations for customers
?Responding to Web Enquiries.
?Assisting external reps when they require quotes, stock availability, customer info, etc.
?Processing and capturing incoming orders.
?Adhering to all SOP’s
?All freight quotes for the JHB branch, percentages made available for administrator to approve.
?Book freight and generate Waybills
?Download and process online orders
?Monitor sales figures daily, weekly and monthly.
?Assist with freight quotes.
?Ensure stock holding is sufficient to service clients
?Log external calls on company internal software system
?Draw Petty Cash.
?Arm and disarm the alarm system.
?Scanning of staff and customers when they enter the premises.
?Liaise with hardware stores
?Schedule and booking of deliveries (DC,hardware stores,client deliveries)
?Ensure deliveries are invoiced and payments is cleared (EFT) where applicable
?Ensure admin processes are adhered to at all times to assist accounts department for payment processes
?Ensure drivers look presentable and bakkies are cleaned on a regular basis
?Deliveries are despatched within time frame specified to clients
?Assist other branches with enquiries (stock,customers enquiries)
?Ensure store is presentable, clean and tidy at all times
?Assist with any general duties required in the branch.
