International Business Consultant - Pinetown
Overall Purpose of the Position:
Our client seeks to employ an experienced and dedicated International Business Coordinator to assist in the growth and development within the SADC region, which will include generating leads, forming relationships with potential customers and in-country trips to strengthen these relationships.
Tertiary education essential, preferably a Sales & Marketing degree.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the following;
- International Business Development,
- International Account Management,
- Technical sales into Africa and abroad.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills;
Excellent verbal and written skills;
Strong Administration skills ; Strong numerical abilities;
High level of computer literacy (MS Office);
Valid Driver’s license and valid Passport with no restrictions on travel;
Must have travelled into Africa previously with the ability and flexibility to travel both internationally
and domestically as and when required.
Additional Skills needed:
- Additional foreign languages will be advantageous (French and/or Portuguese, Swahili)
- Understanding of the water industry is advantageous;
- Syspro experience is advantageous; Marketing experience advantageous; Strong time management skills.
- Experienced in relationship management and working on a CRM system;
- Ability to develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients;
The role is spilt into two functions; Office based duties and Out of office duties.
Office based duties – Research and development related activities, feasibility studies, planning of in-country trips, compiling of reports (sales, pipeline, trip reports, monthly feedback on development activities). Cold- calling (telephonically.
Out of office duties – The action on the above (Office based) preparation.
Work with the HOD SADC to develop and execute on international business strategy and objectives in line with the overall department strategy;
Provide market analysis and research feedback on new opportunities to the HOD for SADC Region;
Identify the appropriate route to market (Distributor, JVA, Lead originator);
Responsible for ensuring appropriate business growth in SADC region through regular international travel and business development;
Work together with SA Team and other entities to ensure that technical expertise and resource requirements are allocated to successfully execute projects;
Report on international and financial performance as required;
Be accountable for the logistics of products and resources required to execute on projects;
Responsible for supplying timeous weekly reports and travel feedback reports;
Responsible for achieving set sales target for the SADC Region.
Keep and grow relationships with existing customers and continue partnership development;
Market and promote our client’s technology to key stakeholders in the various countries within government organizations in the SADC region, ensuring that our clients is the specified product on all tenders.
R25 000.00 ctc plus very attractive commission structure with excellent earning potential.
Vehicle provided for business travel. Provident fund after 6 months’ probation period.
