PROCUREMENT AND INVENTORY MANAGER

Based in Heriotdale, Johannesburg

R420 000 – R540 000 ctc pa depends on experience

Requirements:
1. Grade 12 plus a Certificate / Diploma in Procurement Management or equivalent;
2. Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) advantageous;
3. Computer literate (Advanced MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel, Business Intelligence tools) with database experience;
4. Accounting systems experience -medium size ERPs eg Evolution, Syspro;
5. Minimum 10 years in a similar role with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in the Rail Industry with imports and exports
6. 3 years International exposure of delivering to customers throughout Africa and importing from Europe, Asia and Americas;
7. A good understanding of Tax (VAT, Customs Duties, Withholding Taxes), in SA and other jurisdictions
8. Strong knowledge of procurement management and optimisation principles;
9. Excellent computer systems capabilities (Excel; Evolution, other accounting packages);
10. Excellent business communication skills both locally and with foreign nationals;
11. Excellent report writing skills
12. Sound knowledge of operations and business processes
13. Demonstrated ability to actively manage supply risk and performance
