Purpose statement
The incumbent is expected to take responsibility for and develop the internal leads, proposals and queries function within the Portfolio Management unit. The incumbent is also responsible for the promotion of investment solutions, participating in the investment committee and the development of performance reports.

Position in the organisation Reports to:
Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Subordinates: None
Job objective

Primary objectives:
1. Effective participation in theinvestment team
2. Comprehensive lead management
3. Proposal compilation and distribution
4. Answering of investment related queries
5. Liaise with operations team
6. Ensure adherence to compliance framework

Duties

People
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry peers, service providers, and financial advisors.
Liaise with economics, operations, marketing and administrative divisions.

Processes
The following is expected from the candidate:
- Monitors company valuations and price changes, along with global economic trends/themes
- Assist with the generation of investment strategies on macro and company level.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes to provide quality execution within the investment team
- Ensure adherence to compliance framework
- Compilation of client proposals
- Maintain and update the lead and proposal register
- Maintain and update the portfolio implementation client list

Marketing and sales
- Produce content and commentary for clients and sales team.
- Participate in the Market Call.

Job Evaluation Criteria
Formal Education:
Certified Financial Planner designation will be beneficial.
Relevant business degree or graduate diploma.
Relevant regulatory qualifications.

Experience:
3 years previous financial planning and markets related experience.

Language requirements:
Fully proficient in English and Afrikaans.
