Our client requires the service of an IR Officer to provide employee relations function in the designated section with regards to all labour matters for the company group and its employees, industrial relations practices, disciplinary processes, cases, and hearings.

Key performance areas:

? Facilitates formal disciplinary cases, e.g. Hearings, handled/chaired by Specialized Labour Solutions, as well as internal Warnings and Grievances in terms of the Disciplinary Code and Grievance Procedures
? Advise supervisors, managers, and employees on the appropriate actions to take in dealing with grievances or disciplinary actions.
? Conduct, analyses and suggest solutions for all grievances and complaints, received from employees and the company.
? Conduct the necessary pre-hearing investigations concerning employee misconduct, and all other HR related cases, this excluded investigations regarding warnings – the onus is on the Department Head to conduct a full investigation before handing in an investigation report / incident report.
? Mediate discussions between employer and employee representatives in attempt to reconcile differences.
? Assist with preparation of evidence for disciplinary hearings, including preparing witnesses to testify.
? Prepare all documentation relating to CCMA Cases
? Handle all IR administration
? Report as per Management Directive
? Performing any other HR task or assisting any other HR Staff member, not specified herein, which from time to time may be assigned by the manager

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a HR related degree/diploma with and Advanced Labour Law Diploma
? At least 3 Year HR experience
? Must have knowledge of Industrial Relations & Collective Bargaining
? Must be able to implement and develop labour policies; initiate disciplinary hearing; draft warnings and or any other disciplinary related forms
? Must be able to initiate grievances & poor work performance procedures
? Excellent computer literacy (MS Word & Excel Intermediate, Sage People, Microsoft Teams & SharePoint)
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Must be able to work under immense pressure
? Must be adaptable and have good problem solving and conflict management skills
? Must have excellent time management skills
