One of our clients, a multi-national dairy and food company has a vacancy for an IT Business Analyst at their branch in Stellenbosch.
Job Overview:
The purpose of the role is to oversee the food safety and quality aspects with a specific focus on the following:
Manage use of the ERP(BPCS), WHM(WM9), WHM(INFOLOG), distribution (hi volume)/inventory system for the company, including system parameters and setting, system processes, system standards and functions used
Support integration between ERP, WHM and other systems
Data integrity of the system
Implement new modules/functionality across Southern Africa
Design and or create, reports/programs for the company with ongoing maintenance
Manage ERP, WHM and distribution (hi volume)/inventory modifications
User training, refining system and procedures when required
Provide advice to business of best practice and practically of systems
After hours support
Support on IT and business projects
Duties and Responsibilities:
WHM systems (WM9 and Infolog)
Manage integrity and smooth operation of the warehouse management systems
Distribution system (hi volume)
Manage integrity and smooth operation of the distribution management system
User support and training
Daily support to all BPCS inventory, warehouse management, EDI and distribution systems to users
On-going user training when necessary.
Regular site visits to perform system training and ensure that company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to
Report development and maintenance
Ensure reports used for operation purposes are accurate, and support each other
Design and creation of reports as per set IT standards, working closely with IT business analysts and end users to comply to expectations by users
Auditing
Preparation of information as required by internal and external auditors (midyear and year end)
Assist auditors with queries during mid-year and year end audits
Assist with user audits on various applications
Distribution sales, inventory and warehouse management month end (including African countries)
Closing systems for month end
Data integrity verifications and interface reconciliation
System documentation
User training manuals to be created and/or updated on various systems
Presentation design for training material
After hour support
After hour support to all users in South Africa and other African regions, as per rotating schedule
Minimum Requirements:
A relevant Information Technology degree or diploma
Minimum of five (5) years’ IT business analyst experience
Two (2) to three (3) years of IT application support on warehouse management and distribution applications
Report writing tools, specifically SSRS
Excellent understanding of databases
Excellent knowledge and ability to created SQL queries
Good understanding of programming language, such as C#
Previous experience on an ERP system (BPCS ERP an advantage)
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MSProject
Willing and able to travel within Sub Saharan Africa
Able to perform after-hours support role
Project work requires working on week-ends and away from head office for long periods at a time (two to three weeks at a time)
