This position will be fulfilling a role in a corporate environment based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. The role provides for good career growth opportunity for the willing candidate.

Job Description:
The candidate should have or be:
- A technical person with the ability to engage with others.
- Well versed in IT, particularly around datacentre operations (Storage Management, Networks, Servers [hardware and software] and
Hypervisor [hyper-v] technologies
- Versed in IT security principles including layer 7 firewalls
- Versed in the management of Microsoft Active directory services.
- Versed in creating and maintaining effective business continuity, disaster recovery and backup and replication operations.
- Had some exposure to linux and be reasonably skilled in its operation.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installation, configuration, support, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring of datacentre environments [hardware & software].
- Tier 3 support of users and system platforms.
- Support and configuration of cloud services (AWS, AZURE, Office 365, SharePoint).
- Installation, configuration of backup and replication solutions
- Ticket resolution and other IT administration tasks
- Liaising with IT vendors and other 3rd party support
- Work a certain amount of standby duty in relation to the above.

Skill sets required:
- Relevant industry certification or significant progress in achieving such certification
3+ years’ experience in
- Hyper-V hypervisors; server backup / replication technologies.
- Windows server 2008 – 2019, Linux, SQL Server 2012 – 2019 and Microsoft Active Directory skills.
- Hardware infrastructure – Rack and Blade Servers, Desktops and Networks.
- Networking and Enterprise Storage, fibre channel, ethernet / wireless networks, VPN, VLANS.
- 1+ years’ experience in vmware and Voice over IP
