A manufacturing company in Meyerton is looking for an IT Technician with at least 2 years relevant experience within the manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Meat Matrix will be an added advantage.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

National Diploma A+
Well organized and good planning skills
Be able to liaise with internal customers – good communication skills
Be able to do basic networking RJ45 connections and installation of cables
Be willing to do stand-by / rotating shifts
Knowledge of general technical / computer hardware support
Customer orientated
Excellent knowledge of Outlook/ Excel
Be willing to learn and a positive attitude
At least two years relevant experience
Knowledge of MeatMatrix will be an added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor and respond to client inquiries and support requests via phone, email, web forum etc
Reports to IT Supervisor
Maintain relevant documentation on client interactions
Provide technical support or basic training to client and staff as and when required
Escalates customer issues which cannot be resolved with concise description
Follows customer issues through to completion to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction have been achieved
Sets and load computer equipment with required items and prepares computer equipment for operation
Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and correct as per relevant specification and procedure.
