A large and well-known wholesales plastic products supplier based in Centurion are currently looking for a Junior Retail Buyer to start as soon as possible.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required
Matric
Fully bilingual
Diploma/Degree, preferably in procurement
Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail and industrial purchasing, stock and price negotiation A MUST (KEY REQUIREMENT)
Computer literacy in Pastel Evolution advantageous
High attention to detail and accuracy
Able to handle large volumes
Own reliable vehicle/transport
Must have at least 1 years’ experience in buying
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Full buyer functions of wholesales plastic products supplier
Purchasing of stationery, packaging and chemicals
Placing orders
Manage stock levels
Inventory optimisation
Price negotiations
Souring quality suppliers and stock
Identifying/sourcing of stock items
Contact suppliers in writing or by telephone for any queries
Follow-up with suppliers concerning deliveries/special orders
Assist Sales Department with special stock inquiries.
Engage with suppliers/colleagues and clients in a professional manner
Stock Taking
Provide feedback to management
