Product modeling junior actuarial analyst is wanted in Gauteng.
The role will be in charge of building and implementing product models in order to model product values and fund build-ups, as well as developing tools to facilitate excellent automated risk management. The role offers exposure to an extensive range of historical and current life insurance products while developing actuarial judgment in balancing the needs of the various stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

Draft and review the required product and calculation specifications.
Investigate product bases, and apply sound actuarial judgment for rationalizations where required.
Improve tools and processes that monitor the accuracy of policy values.
Specify, build and maintain models of the business.
Collaborate with developers to ensure the accurate and efficient implementation of your models.
Investigate, quantify and explain any deviations and advise on corrective measures.
Ensure that all projects to be implemented adhere to audit and risk management requirements.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

A graduate degree in Actuarial Science or related degree
A minimum of 3 Core Technical exams completed
Experience in Excel and SQL will be advantageous
