RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large organisation in the LOGISTICS industry to recruit a JUNIOR FLEET SUPERVISOR to be based at their offices in NELSPRUIT – approximately R10 000 to R15 000 depending on experience. Good opportunities for career development.
OUR CLIENT ESTABLISHED OVER 30 YEARS AGO, POVIDES SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN AFRICA.
The overall purpose of the position is to ensure company targets are met and to oversee usage of fuel, stock management and maintenance of the fleet.
The ideal candidate should be/have the following:
Grade 12.
Code C (10) driver’s license.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
A relevant qualification, an advantage.
Technical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
Able to carry out minor electrical repairs.
Knowledge of fuel management of a fleet.
Good Excel skills.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Ensuring the fleet is performing to company targets.
Daily checking and reporting of exceptions on fuel consumption of all vehicles.
Stock management and reporting of any irregularities.
Order and manage fuel, toll cards and e-tags and driver tags.
Assist in monitoring driver performance using tracking reports
Identify performance problems in the fleet and liaise with the business unit manager to implement measures to overcome and prevent them.
Take trucks to service providers for servicing.
Liaising with service providers to book vehicles for repairs and well ETAs.
Checking of pre-trip inspections daily and ensuring all faults are reported.
Assistance with vehicle assessments.
Raising purchase orders.
Completing insurance claim forms.
Opening IR’s for fleet incidents.
Remuneration:
R10 000 to R15 000, depending on experience. Provident fund provided.
