Reputable Stellenbosch based concern operating in the leisure tourism industry currently has a position available for a Front of House Manager. The Front of House Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the food and beverage operations that includes main bar, function bar, lounge and outside areas. They are responsible for supervising front of house staff and for reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager.

APPOINTMENT REQUIRMENTS
• GR 12
• Completed tertiary qualification in F & B Management / Hospitality & Tourism
• Minimum 2 years work experience gained within an F&B department
• Must be a South African Citizen – no foreign nationals will be considered
• Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans
• Excellent guest relations skills
• Drivers License + own reliable transport

KPA’S
• Will report directly to the F&B manager.
• Manage a team of front of house staff including shift planning, training, and general supervision.
• Oversee that all opening and closing duties of the outlets are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained.
• Responsible for daily “cash-up”, and the correct operation of the POS systems.
• Balancing of all POS terminals.
• Providing excellent customer service to guests and excellent leadership to employees.
• Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with function management, especially corporate golf events.
• Handle guest complaints and report such complaints immediately to the F&B manager.
• Work closely with the Back of House department to provide a seamless experience.
• Responsible for quality assurance of products leaving the outlets.
• To provide a more detailed supervisory eye on the Front of House operations.
• Receive, capture and issue stock items in the absence of the Stock Controller.
• Verify all stock counts before submitting a stocktake in the absence of the Stock Controller.
• Report on all variances of stocktakes to the F&B manager in the absence of the stock controller.
• Report all irregularities of stocktakes to the F&B manager in the absence of the Stock Controller.
