One of our Clients, specializing in premium foods, currently has a vacancy available for a Junior OHS Officer. They are based in the Western Cape.

Main duties and responsibilities:
• Effective management and implementation of OHS system
• Effective management of Emergency equipment, First aid stock and safety team
• Chair OHS committee meetings and raise any non-conformances
• Effective monitoring and reporting of First Aid incidents and investigations thereof
• Manage Contractor Control, permits and inspections
• Ensure statutory training and appointments are valid
• Assist with COVID procedures and implementation and adherence to policies
• Contact person during site audits and factory walks.
• Ad hoc duties

Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma in Health and Safety
• 2-3 years’ experience as Safety Officer
• Experience with Syspro, SQube will be beneficial
• Good administration skills
• Adhere to rules and regulations

• Ability to work independently
• Planning and organising skills
• Good time management skills
• Must have attention to detail
