Junior MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN (Sheet Metal) – West Rand
Manufacturing environment – drawings: sheetmetal & electrical (mostly)

Job Description
• Responsible for the mechanical drawings & sheet metal drawings
• Responsible for handling all ECR’s (Engineering Change Requests) and documenting the changes i.e. updates of – system & drawings / update of filing system etc.

Responsibilities:
• Create new parts & assembly drawings for products, under the guidance of the manager.
• Provide existing drawings, to the suppliers;
• Able to clarify any queries related to the drawings & the specifications of the product.
• All product files – to be updated in accordance to the Engineering Department’s processes
• Maintain and update all drawing files both hard and digital copies. Accurate and up to date administrations.
• Maintain ECR's and implement corrective procedures regarding production issues
• Design and maintain instruction booklets, advertising literature, fascia’s and product bulletins

Essential Requirements
• Matric + Diploma in Draughtsman / relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role – A MUST
• MS Office & CAD packages (i.e. Solid Work / Inventor)
• Previous experience as Sheetmetal Draughtsman or electrical appliances - Advantageous
