What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the metal goods manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Create Daily Production Plans (Excel)

* Create Job and Shipment Schedules

* Production Status Tracking

* Basic Costing Analysis

* Identify Issues with Lost Production Time and Opportunities for Improvement

Key Job Deliverables:

* Create Capacity & Resource Plans

* Manage Production & Planning Worksheets (Excel)

* Analyse and Report on Production Data & Production Costs

Background work experience:

* 2 years Production Planning - Continuous Line

* 2 years Capacity, Resource & Raw Materials Planning

* 2 years MS Excel

* 2 years Internal Task Coordination

* Production Management OR Operations Management Diploma

* Production Planning

* Production planning in an FMCG or similar environment (Continuous Line)

* Planning the activities around production like resources, capacity, raw materials

* Creating sophisticated calculations on Excel to work out optimal production schedules

* Coordinating with departments like sales, engineering and procurement

* Advantageous: Basic Cost Accounting Knowledge

Personality Summary:

* High Administrative - Good with procedures, processes and best practices.

* High Analytical - Strong with analysis, metrics, data and fact based decision making.

Reports to: Production Manager

Location: Boksburg, Gauteng

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R180K to R240K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
