Situated 15kms from PMB, the successful candidate will be trained toward forming part of the Feedlot cattle management and health team who manage over 30 000 head and be an integral part of the 1000 ha general farming operations.

The desired applicant must have experience in, grown up in, or been educated in/towards such an environment

The following skills will be required

• Inventory Management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

The chosen applicant will be responsible for, inter alia,
? Experience and supervising labour and productivity
? Experience in general management of the infrastructure of cattle (or other livestock) farm/feedlot.
? This includes all aspects, eg, water reticulation, management of roads, drainage, waste removal, general housekeeping, etc
? Experience in livestock handling and wellbeing
? Receiving and off-loading cattle
? Day to day health assessment of the animals
? Administer medicines / vaccines
? Dipping of cattle
? Supervision of staff
? General farm duties
? Co-ordinate and control cattle throughout the feedlot
? Classification of cattle for slaughter

Rent free accommodation will be provided, perks tax will be deducted as legislated.

Duties include alternate weekends.

The salary is market related and will be dependent on the knowledge, skills and experience of the successful candidate,
