Job Description:

• International Trading:
Taking full responsibility of the marketing and trading of all fruit types in the following market segments:
Middle East,
Russia,
Europe
South Africa local market programs
Commercial Management of fruit marketing include :
Establish and maintain market intelligence systems and processes to utilise such data in marketing decision making
Conduct market and client performance trend analysis to make informed decisions based on trend and historical results, together with market intelligence information,
Price and program negotiation with target clients.
Expedite payment from fruit debtors to ensure close adherence to agreed terms.
Ensure all clients understand and work in adherence to pre-season agreed trade terms contract(s).
Optimising price revenue achievable on fruit types supplied by the company’s growers,
Managing company credit risk associated with customers,
Ensuring that both growers and the company phytosanitary risks are minimized in all market segments to which fruit are distributed.
Develop the medium- and long term Marketing Strategy.
New cultivar management
Assess continuously new cultivar options for all fruit types company deal in. In this regard develop a cultivar plan to ensure client requirements are met during all stages of a particular fruit season.
Identify options to pursue.
Establish contact with all parties to ensure the company’s growers can do trial plantings e, such as license holders, plant breeders, etc. with aim to initiate negotiation to obtain relevant rights.
Manage complete process of new cultivar evaluations through to commercial export, utilising scientific means to ensure correct cultivars are chosen for future revenue maximization for the company and its growers, in line with cultivar plan.
Product management and market adherence
Involved in all technical aspects of fruit production and associated local and international statutory legislation adherence and provide input to ensure relevant market requirements are met.
In co-operation with Product managers ensure that the right fruit types/cultivars/varieties are grown to standards and time windows of supply to ensure optimum revenue forfruit types.
Procurement
Visit new growers to perform a fruit procurement function.
Assist in expanding the company supply base in current areas of supply.
In new areas of supply identified by the company management of which I`m part and the company directors.
With additional fruit types as identified to achieve company growth strategies and vision.
General
Provide a public relations function towards clients and suppliers, representing the company at all time in a professional and ethical manner.
Execute administrative functions as deemed necessary from time to time to assist with the company workflow and workload.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of international trading and marketing
Degree in Marketing or Logistics
