Job Description:

Take full responsibility of the marketing and trading of all produce types handled by the company in the following market segments: Russia, Central Asia, Middle East and Others as from time to time added.

Expedite payment from fruit debtors working in close co-operation with the companiesFinance to ensure close adherence to agreed terms.

Ensure all clients understand and work in adherence to pre-season agreed trade terms.

Develop together with the Managing Director (MD) and the rest of the Marketing-, Agriculture- and Finance Technical teams the medium- and long-term Marketing Strategy of the company.

With marketing planning- and / or produce placement conflict, the companies MD will make the final decision.
Continuously assess new cultivar options required by clients, for all produce types the company deal in. In this regard be involved with the companies Technical to develop a cultivar plan and / or calendar to ensure client requirements are met during all stages of a particular fruit- or produce season. This activity relates to the ability of the company to ensure produce basket optimization in its offering to clients.

Work closely with the MD, Technical team, and growers, to assess which produce to focus on (prioritizing).

The incumbent will take note of technical aspects of fruit production and associated local and international statutory legislation adherence and provide input when required to ensure relevant market and/ or program requirements are met (food safety related).

In co-operation with Area managers the incumbent will provide necessary input to ensure that the right fruit types / cultivars / varieties are grown to standards and time windows of supply to ensure optimum revenue for such produce types.

The incumbent will ensure by continuous input and farm-/ pack house visits, that characteristics of produce chosen for target markets and -clients adhere to their requirements in all respect. In this regard close co-operation with all the companies functional groups are required.

In close co-operation with the companies functional groups (Marketing, Product co-ordination, Technical), produce will be chosen and packed, or where relevant allocated from stock to optimum target markets, maximize fruit revenue while taking into consideration
Provide a public relations function towards clients and suppliers, always representing the company in a professional and ethical manner.

Execute administrative functions as deemed necessary from time to time to assist with the company workflow and workload.

This position is responsibility linked, implicating that it is expected from the incumbent to be available after hours to execute work related activities should the need arise.

Qualifications:

Relevant Marketing or Logistic qualifications
At least 10 years’ experience in Fruit export market.
