Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and assistance to lab manager.
Maintain laboratory instruments.
Check chemical consumable stock levels.
Assist and monitor junior analysts and assist in training.
To adhere to strict deadlines in carrying out microbiological analysis
Check accuracy of test results and evaluation of Competency Testing.
Work in accordance of laboratory quality system (ISO 17025)
Assist lab manager in maintaining laboratory quality system (verification records, control charts).
Liaison between Clients, Supervisors and team members.

Requirements:

5 - 7 years leadership / management experience in a SANAS ISO Lab environment
Qualifications: BSc (Honours degree in Microbiology, or Biotech, or Food Tech / Science)
ISO 17025 certificate
Must have strong leadership qualities
Ability to lead a team
