This dynamic company established in 2005, with a world-class professional team of over 100 experienced specialists, has the following position available for an Land Acquisition Leader that will contribute to the overall success of the organisation by effectively leading the acquisition of land leases and acquisitions.

The company's head office is situated in Cape Town, successful candidate will be working in the Northern Cape area.

LAND ACQUISITION LEADER
CAPE TOWN/ UPINGTON

Requirements:
- Candidates with property sales and procurement experience, preferably agricultural sector
- Existing experience would be a decided advantage
- Understand ethical behavior and business practices
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Effective communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
- Strong organisational skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Valid Code 8 license and own transport

Responsibilities will include:
- The Land Acquisition Leader must work on their own initiative to identify in collaboration with the CEO and Bid Co-coordinator optimum locations in South Africa that are most +
competitive or desirable for future pipeline.
- To identify owners of lands that are in the pipeline plan (REIPPP + GIGA) and secure land leases in accordance with compliance requirements for solar developments.
- To further secure lease agreements at competitive terms for prospective farms.
- Build and maintain a database of all competitor submitted applications and there from an understanding of the land “market” in RSA.
- To familiarize themselves with the Eskom Development Plans and understand the present and future impacts that this may have on the land requirements and to build strategies in
anticipation of requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to professionally and successfully engage with local landowners (farmers).
- The Land Acquisitions Leader must provide a strategic leadership plan and schedule with detailed milestones to include lease deadlines, permitting applications schedules and
update the executive team on a regular basis with reporting based upon progress, schedule, closed land agreements and Bid readiness.
