As the Communications Specialist you will be responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy, through consistent and engaging messaging that enhances their insurance brand, engages clients, and supports business strategy.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Degree in Communication, Marketing, Languages, or related qualification
5-7 years' experience in Communication, Marketing or Brand Management
Relevant Product and Insurance Industry knowledge
Public Relations
Working knowledge of graphic design and social media
Knowledge of print and digital media
Knowledge of marketing practices and processes
Language and writing skills
Editing skills
Communication skills
Planning and organising
Time management
Stakeholder management
Networking and relationship building

Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the communications strategy and execution aligns with the overall strategy.
In conjunction with the marketing team, plan and manage the design, content development and production of all communication and collateral in support of the business and marketing strategy.
Coordinate and liaise with other relevant marketing and communications functions to align project needs and drive relevant messages across different channels and platforms.
Implement the communication strategy to support products, launches, events and promotions.
Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure implementation of marketing and communication initiatives, through defining the target audience, various stakeholders, and appropriate messaging.
Design, manage and implement a PR, social media, and internal communications strategy.
Set, apply and monitor the communication standards, including structure, creativity, plain language, tone of voice, style, and terminology.
Assess and enhance existing collateral and communications in terms of value add and quality and implement improvements where required.
Copyedit, proofread and revise new and existing communications.
Influence the use of communication systems and tools and investigate and implement alternatives where feasible.
Liaise with relevant agencies and internal stakeholder sin the production and delivery of communication.
Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
Deliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
Make recommendations to improvement of client service within area of responsibility.
Participate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service.
Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
