As the Legal Counsel you will be responsible for drafting and management of all aspects of client agreements. Your key job responsibilities as the Legal Counsel in Cape Town will include:

- Drafting, negotiation and review of commercial contracts and agreements
- Advising on the legal and regulatory risk involved in offering games and platform software solutions to the gaming industry content to a variety of markets including new and emerging markets where legislation has not fully developed
- Ensure contract provisions are in place to mitigate risks to the business
- Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements
- Advising and supporting other departments as may be necessary
- Identifying legal issues, providing analysis of legal risks and assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions
- Assisting in building a scalable foundation for the Legal Team including developing templates and processes
- Liaising with external advisors and regulatory authorities
- Legal Research and staying abreast with regulatory updates

Requirements for this Legal Counsel job in Cape Town:

- Relevant law degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the Gaming industry
- Strong knowledge and understanding of online gaming legislation and industry best practices
- Strong legal writing and legal research skills
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressurised environment and to act decisively
- Works independently and requires little supervision
- Clear communicator, fluent in English
