Our Client, one of the leading companies in the FMCG industry is currently looking for a Logistics Intern to support their office in Cape Town, South Africa.

This role is hands-on and will give you a great exposure, within 1 year, to how an international cosmetic and beauty brand markets their products and manages the overall supply chain as well as demand planning strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

Skills:
• Degree in Logistics, Sales, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Experience in demand or supply planning advantageous
• FMCG industry experience advantageous
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent project management skills

Key responsibilities:
• Provide general administrative and analytical support to the sales functions
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model
• Data Analysis
• Implement effective commercial planning processes (demand/supply)
• Support customer service function, ensuring sales/supply orders are received, processed and delivered on time according to customer Requirement
• Report and review of all relevant monthly logistics KPI
• Set up end to end supply chain to drive service reliability with business model change
• Implement forecasting and supply planning process improvements Forecast future requirements for suppliers
• Monitor and track transportation shipments from inception to final delivery
