LOGISTICS MANAGER – NORTHERN CAPE (Preferably EE)

Our International Client is a leader in the Renewable Energy industry based in Cape Town. They have an opportunity for a LOGISTICS MANAGER to join their EPC Team in the Northern Cape on a Fix Term Contract of minimum 12 months.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Industrial Engineering or Logistics Degree, preferably at Honours or Masters level.
CSCP certification.
At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in supply chain solutions development in Renewal Energy (Solar), Contract Logistics and Transport Logistics field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritising of workload with attention to detail;
Computer literacy with good numeracy skill;
A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning;
Self-motivated with a willingness to accept responsibility and challenges;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Duties & Responsibilities -
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations in conjunction with Branch Office and or / S&W Head Office Procurement structures;
Plan and track the shipment of incoming materials according to project requirements;
Supervise orders and arrange stocking of materials, supplies and equipment to ensure they meet project delivery requirements;
Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction;
Keep logs and records of construction materials stock and deliveries to site;
Ensure accurate goods receiving inspections are carried out to compare goods delivered are in accordance with the product specifications in the purchase agreements;
Prepare accurate reports for the management team;
Ensure site stores controller manages site stock in accordance with company standards keeping accurate records of inspections, receipts and issues
Liaison with transports and cargo movers for best rates and ensure timely deliveries on sites.
Should also maintain and develop relationship with ports / customs and related authorities.
Should be well conversant with transit / good insurances, etc.
