Our client requires the service of a Logistics & Raw Material Controller who will be responsible for implementing procedures for obtaining raw materials, packaging material and arrange incoming and outgoing transport.

Key performance areas:

? Purchasing of Raw Materials
? Oversee the controlling and ordering of raw materials.
? Oversee daily stock control balance exercise.
? Oversee stock levels and order when necessary.
? Report monthly to financial department on figures and value of products on floor.
? Manage OEE (Production) report and confirm if data is correct and send to General Manager.
? Ensure safe storage of purchased goods.
? Ensure that invoice is correct according to offload weight and contract amounts.
? Forward Order, GRV and invoice to Creditors for payment.
? Report dispute when product grades are incorrect.
? Oversee company vehicle inspections are done and recorded.
? Communication with Suppliers to confirm delivery dates of bulk products.
? Do supplier evaluation and attach signed documentation on the system.
? Check purchasing and distribution of departmental PPE.
? Oversee production schedule, manage OEE (Production) report and confirm data is correct.
? Determine final product pricing.
? Load new approved formulas on PLC system.
? Forward new price formulas to Nutritionist to update formulas.
? Do monthly forecasting for raw materials and bags.
? Moisture control on final product.
? Compare new formula prices vs. old formula prices.
? Prepare the production schedule according to procedure and ensure all outstanding orders are on the production schedule
? Capture products on PLC system according to outstanding orders
? Responsible for housekeeping and safety standards

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with further skills development/short courses in Quality Assurance of Raw Materials, Food Safety Standards and Basic General Management
? At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
? Must have a valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
? Experience in Team Management and supervisory skills
? Must have knowledge of logistics, freight scheduling, Raw Materials and storage according to Food Safety and Quality standards
? Knowledge of Compliance/Adherence with operational standards
? Knowledge of Quality standards of raw materials Operational Agility
? Knowledge of Human Resources, Disciplinary action and procedures
? Must have strong problem solving skills
? Knowledge of OHSA, ISO22000 and systems
? Knowledge of HACCP system administration e.g. HACCP Meetings, Reps Meetings, Production Meetings, etc. Minutes and distribution as well as loading of tasks on Sharepoint.
