The Agriculture Risk Department is seeking a Loss Control Officer for its operations in Uitenhage. The incumbent of this position will contribute to rendering loss control service of a world class standard by ensuring that company assets are protected and safety requirements are adhered to at all times. This position is Task Grade T05 and reports to the Loss Control Manager. The successful incumbent should be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent and a PSIRA Grade C certificate with at least two years’ experience in a security position.

Results Required

Ensure that the property of the company and the property of employees are protected;
Ensure all vehicle entering premises are properly washed before entering and visitor and vehicle register is completed;
Ensure that BRC is always adhered to;
Assist in the reporting of safety issues;
Assist in the implementation of the loss prevention policy by reporting issues in order to minimise economic losses;
Maintain a high level of discipline on shift;
Immediately attend to any incident or complaint that arises;
Conduct vehicle and person searches.
