Our client in Paarl has an exciting role available in their Production Department for a Machine Builder.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assembly of packaging machines according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Setup, fault finding, and testing of machines.
• Installation and commissioning of machines on customer premises until full signoff by customer.
• Fault finding and maintenance on machines and after-sales/ customer support assistance.
• Responsible for quality inspections of manufactured machines.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum qualification: Qualified Fitter or Fitter & Turner.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the building, testing, debugging, installation, and commissioning of packaging machines (experience on liquid packaging machines preferred).
• Must be a team player as well as have the ability to work independently.
• Must be willing to work overtime and travel nationally as well as internationally as required.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic fault finding, as well as tig welding of stainless steel will be to the candidate’s advantage.
• Valid driver’s license – Code B
