In working for a well established Engineering and Manufacturing company, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and is required to be a qualified turner machinist. One will be expected to set and operate CNC, VMC and Teach lathes according to customer specifications.

Job Description

Operate, troubleshoot, set up and program VMC, teach lathes and CNC
Use tools such as callipers, micrometers, rulers and height gauges to inspect completed work in accordance to specifications
Manufacture drawing components accurately
Quality control during the fabrication process according to per hold point for preliminary quality control checks
Ensure that there is no non-conformance
Report back to management with regards to time schedules, solutions, extra costs, equipment quality and deficiencies
Ensure that all the right tools are available for production in the workshop
Ensure that all legal requirements and safety procedures are upheld
Maintain cleanliness in the workshop

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Qualified Turner/ Machinist
Proficient in Mastercam, Edgecam, Inventor and/or Autocad
5 years’ exp. In a manufacturing environment
Tool and Gauge exp.
Fluent in reading drawings
Valid driver's license
