Machine Operator
Our client, who has a packaging facility for pharmaceutical products in Muizenberg, wants to appoint Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible responsible for the setting and operating of the bottle filling and labelling machines. Experience in the FMCG, Packaging, and/or Pharmaceutical/Medical industries as a machine operator is essential. Duties will include:

Responsible for setting and operating the bottle filling and labelling machine; Setting up of the labelling machine prior and during production runs; Setting up of the inkjet Printer with correct batch information; Conducting line clearances before and end of production runs; Responsible for conducting FAI and in-process QC checks to ensure specifications are met – torque test, leak test and filling weight checks; Ensure production targets are met as set out in KPA; and Oversee the assistant operators.

The person should do Equipment Maintenance on an ongoing basis; perform General Housekeeping duties to ensure the work area is always neat and tidy and ensure the machine is operated in Adherence to GMP, company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
• At least 2 years working experience in a FMCG, Medical and or Pharmaceutical company.
• Knowledge of GMP is an advantage
• Grade 12 or equivalent with maths and science as subjects.
