Our client in Pretoria, Gauteng has a job vacancy for a potential Maintenance Assistant.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Overall responsibility is assumed for all mechanical, maintenance and repairs assistance on machines for the company. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all the machines and equipment are in a good and workable condition during breakdowns, maintaining supplies and performing repairs as and when needed. These duties are performed to primarily achieve maximum production and minimal maintenance downtime.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
? Grade 12 (matric)
? A minimum of 2 years related working experience within a manufacturing environment
? Semi-skilled Artisan (Mechanical)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
? Must have solid mechanical capabilities
? Ability to take responsibility as per his scope of work
? Must take pride in his work
? Must be punctual and proficient in English
? Have the ability to compile and implement contingency plans
? Must have the ability to resolve conflict
? Honest and reliable

WORKING CONDITIONS
? Must be willing to work overtime when required
? Will be supplied with the necessary tools and equipment
? Working hours are 7-5 Mon- Thurs and 7 – 2:30 Fri
